Echoes is a London based series which aims at telling the time distortion perception that we often feel walking through the streets of this city.
The overlap of past and present creates the canvas of this metropolis, which is in a never-ending evolution. Traces of past are constantly carried on and each boulevard or corner is a time warp in itself. There is something extremely ancient in the futuristic atmosphere of London and this is what I wanted to capture with my shoots.
The pictures are all in black and white and often they have been taken using a long exposure, leaving the time being captured in its evolution. People become vanishing shadows walking in these streets, blown like dust.
This project is directly connected with the feeling of loss and solitude which I often experienced during my first period in London when I used to find myself wandering with my camera in search of details reflecting my state of mind.
