"Greenflow" is an eco-project based on the island of Samothraki, Greece. This grassroots organisation is building a self-sufficient community and their aim is to regenerate the island that years of unsustainable farming practices, alongside a general exodus of the population have led to neglect severe land erosion and degradation.
 

The Greek word “palingenesis” (which entitles my series) means regeneration, but the pursuit of my project is not documenting the re-birth of the land, instead, I want to show the impact on people embracing the off the grid lifestyle.
 

The volunteers joining the community are full-immersed into nature and in just a short time they become deeply connected with the environment and the animals of the island and, most of all, they build strong relationships among each other.
