Yesterday night I finally shot the very last missing picture of my book. In fact, I needed a picture of the stars at night that would have perfectly broken the sequence in my book, but I haven't shot it yet and I waited until I came back home to Italy a few days before the deadline. Unfortunately, it looked like I wasn't going to be very lucky:

I was very worried, since I would not have any other occasions and, furthermore, I have never really taken night sky pictures. I talked with Matt before leaving the UK and I knew I had to expose for less than 15 seconds in order not to get stars trails. Potentially my settings would have been: 640 ISO, f/2, 10-15s
The first night I went out to shoot, it was absolutely cloudy, but at least I tried the settings and I practiced shooting a tree.
Yesterday I drove very uphill where luckily the sky was clear and I managed to get the shots.

To me, it was very important to include a picture of the stars; not only because it was linked with a story in my book and it would have visually worked very well, but for the very importance and symbolic meaning of the stars for someone who is travelling and needs to follow a direction.
