After the last lecture in which we presented our project, I definitely have a clearer idea about how I want my videos to look like and what kind of style I'd like to create.

60s video - RURAL CRAFTS OF ENGLAND

For the short video I have finally decided to include many of the artisans that are gonna collaborate with me, and focusing on Shane White (the blacksmith) in the 3m video. I would like to use many short clips with close-ups and slowdowns, there may be a background music and some quotes from the craftsmen. The videos that I am gonna use as a reference for the post-production are the ones published by "Incredible India". They are even shorter that 60s but they include many details and they are incredibly engaging.

3m video - SHANE WHITE

This video is gonna be a traditional kind of documentary in the National Geographic style. I am gonna include an interview and lot of B-roll. Ambient noise is crucial in this part.

My direct reference is:

I particularly love the introduction of this short film. The ambient noise, the close-ups, focusing on small details... then the subject starts to speak but you actually see the interview after more then one minute. Then again is an alternation of B-roll and more interview, I also extremely like the closing shot where the subject is standing still in his working space.
