Bristol trip and reflections

In this period I am almost never satisfied with the outcomes of my shootings. There is something in the overall feel of my pictures that I find very boring and I am very struggling to appreciate my shots.
I thought that the day out in Bristol could have been a good chance to understand what is going wrong with my latest pictures, sometimes it could be just a matter of changing area and you suddenly enjoy your shots again.
So I took several pictures in Bristol and while I was looking at them I realised that one of the point of my overall dissatisfaction is definitely my editing. After years that I took and edit my pictures I ended up editing always in the same way and maybe now what worked in the past for my pictures doesn't fit anymore my style. Since I started this course I look at color film pictures more in depth and I am assuming that what I want to recreate through my images is the amazing rich color palette that I see in pictures shot with film cameras.
Obviously, the simplest way to overcome this issue would be using a film camera, but I really appreciate shooting in digital because it allows me to shoot more (especially for a price effective matter). So I am pushing myself to renew my editing process and trying to obtain a similar aesthetic to a color film.
I really want to experiment with film and I really look forward to going to Weston Super Mare and shooting with a medium format camera, but since my main media are digital cameras I have to evolve with it.
Here some shots from Bristol, I cannot say that I am absolutely satisfied, but at least I am facing the problem trying to go out from my comfort zone.
