Looking critically at my pictures and thinking about my approach when shooting in the field I decided to draw up a list of my common mistakes and all the things I have to improve in order to become a better photographer.
1) Take more pictures of a subject when making a portrait
When I ask someone to pose for a portrait I tend to be agitated ending up not to be concentrated enough and I don't make the most of the opportunity that I have.
I MUST make sure to get different frames, including more that one full body to have the subject in context.
2) Don't cut out of the frame arms and legs
This is a mistake I make very often and that's why I must learn to make more picture of a subject when making a portrait.

3) Always remember the impact of the aperture with the depth-of-field
Do I want my subject in context or separated from the background?

4) Look around
Moving the subject of even just a few centimetres can make the difference and help you to get a better picture. I always have to consider carefully the opportunity around me, not only moving the subject but most of all moving myself!

Here I remembered to move my subject:
4)Don't forget about the flash!!!
Many times, especially with daylight, I forget that the flash is an amazing tool to bright-up my subject. I have to get more familiar with the fill-in flash.
