On 11th October I came for the first time to visit the halls is Pittville Campus to document student life. Since I live in a shared private house, I found in the halls new aspects about the struggles that living in close contact with many other people can bring. The main theme I want to explore in my project is the space, and I want to express through my shoots the feeling of claustrophobia and "invasion" that we all experience in our daily student life. I am using a wide angle lens and I am cropping the pictures to make the subject look like compressed in a strict area.
The main challenge of this project is the poor lightning condition I have to deal with. Taking picture indoor during this period of the year will require almost always the flash use that I have to properly bounce in order to get a nice lightning.
Many students have to work in order to support their studies. Here is one of my flatmates wearing his working uniform and having a quick meal before going to work.

Waiting for the laundry, there is no space where sit.

In the shared cupboards there isn't often enough space, so many students buy extra conteiners for their groceries.
